Afrika Bambaataa is or was a hip hop legend from back in the 80’s. He has been slammed with a lawsuit for sexually abusing and Trafficking a 12 year old boy to other adult males in exchange for money for four years.
It was filed by a grown male who goes by the name of John Doe in the Bronx Supreme Court. The alleged victim John Doe claims that the child sexual abuse and child prostitution took place was in Bambaataa’s Bronx River apartment (Zulu Nation Headquarters).
John Doe’s lawyer filed the lawsuit on August 4, 2021. The following was said:
“The CVA opened a historic one-year onetime window for victims and survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the State of New York to pursue lapsed claims. Prior to the passage of the CVA, each Plaintiff’s claims were time barred the day they turned 22 years old.”
This is what KRS-One said in an interview regarding the accusations that were made towards Afrika Bambaataa:
“For me if you keep it hip-hop, nothing can be taken away from Afrika Bambaataa,” KRS said in an interview. “Nothing. Just keep hip-hop. But if you want to dig into dude’s personal life and accusations that’s being made and so on. Personally — I don’t give a f*ck. Personally. Look, if somebody was harmed or whatever, y’all gotta deal with that sh*t. Deal with it. That don’t stop hip-hop. That don’t stop what you did for hip-hop. It don’t take away none of it. History is history. But deal with that. That’s personal.”
MC Shan snapped back at KRS-Ones response in this video:
Has KRS-One and many others not in the rap industry, but others in the burrows of New York know about this shit and if so why have they all been silent? Hassan Campbell came out years ago claiming he was molested by Bambaataa and the world laughed and ridiculed this man. Hassan went on to affirm there were celebrities/rappers were involved, but names…..well the people who were involved are always kept a secret.
Who will be the first to come out and drop the list of people involved? Who will be the sacrifice to have these dirtbags exposed and shunned from society by locking them up for good? No one is ready to become that sacrificial lamb yet, but John Doe took the first step and others may come out of the bushes to be a part of that movement.
